On the Edge - a 3 part series for Discovery TV on 3 consecutive nights.

30 & 31 August & 1 September

This new series follows Sean as he completes the world's longest triathlon around the coast of mainland Britain.

Look out for the media interest in the run up to the series.

Sean completed a British Ultra Triathlon around the coast of mainland Britain a distance of more than 4,000 miles.  Beginning at Lulworth Cove, Sean cycled 3,350 miles on a bamboo bike to Scarborough where he started his 800 mile run to Brighton.  Here, Sean began his final leg, swimming 100 miles back to Lulworth Cove dragging a small raft behind him with his belongings.  The support for Sean from the public has been inspiring especially on social media #GoSeanGo

Watch Sean Conway's interview on ITV here

Mountaineer Joe Simpson, who told his story of near-death in the Andes in Touching The Void, travels to Myanmar (formerly Burma) to retrace the steps of his father Ian, who served with the Chindits - special forces who fought a guerilla war behind Japanese lines in 1944. Accompanied by explorer Ed Stafford, the first man to walk the length of the Amazon, and using the secret diary his father wrote, Joe experiences the challenging jungle conditions which made this one of the toughest campaigns of WWII.

If you miss this inspirational two-part series, try and catch it on BBC iPlayer.  Fascinating.
